This beautiful painting features a colorful pet portrait of a long haired flame point Siamese cat named Floof. It is painted with acrylic paints on an 8″ x 10″ stretched canvas, and completed in early December 2021. Floof is a very special rescue kitty. He is an older cat who had some medical issues that his previous owners could not manage. He was adopted by a friend who was able to take care of him and give him a good peaceful life. He lives with many other cats and a dog. His best friend is a black kitty named Alfred.

Floof, so named because of his fluffy long fur, of course, is a long haired Siamese cat, also known as a Balinese. It is unknown if he is purebred, but even if he is not, he would have a very high percentage of Siamese ancestry. He is a flame point, which is not commonly seen. The colors I used to paint his portrait are mostly warm colors, but I did use some cool color tones in the whitish areas of his long fur. The background is a dark blue, and he is laying on a purple-red couch. His eyes are a light greenish-gray color. The nose, inside of the ears, and the area around the eyes is pink where his skin shows through. The flame points were painted with various shades of orange and yellow. I am pleased with how the painting of this unusual breed of cat turned out.

If you would like a colorful portrait of your furry friend, please check out my Pet Portraits page for more information and contact form. I can create a portrait in any size and either in square or rectangle shapes. I would love the opportunity to paint more cat portraits, as most of my pet portrait paintings are dogs.  I can paint any animal portrait, and have a large portfolio of portraits you can peruse to get inspiration for your own portrait.
