Today’s featured artist is Sharon Popek Photography! Sharon’s unique photos have been a favorite of mine for several years. The header image above with the cowboy boots in rainbow colors is the photograph of hers that really drew me in! I discovered her photography on Fine Art America, when I was networking with other artists there. She is a very active participant in the forums there and also on her various social media accounts. Her artwork is a unique take on travel photos. She is able to bring out all the fine details and rich color of the subject. She also creates unique collages that combine maps with her photography to create one of a kind wall art, such as the one below featuring a map of Ireland with a Celtic knot and doorway superimposed on top.
She has been a photographer for over 25 years, and it is a passion of hers. She enjoys all types of photography but especially loves to photograph unique places on her travels around the world. Her portfolio includes Austria, Cuba, the Czech Republic, Great Britain, Hungary, Ireland, Poland, and various states within the USA. She also has many other collections of photography focusing on specific subjects, such as bridges, cars, buildings, foodie art, farm and country, flowers, waterscapes, sign art, sunrises and sunsets, still life, and trains. Below is one of my favorite car photos of hers.
You can read about her travels on her blog Purple Rosemary. In addition, she also has a podcast called Tourist in Your Town. If you are interested in tips, tricks, and information about towns and cities around the world, stop in and listen! Be sure and visit her gallery store on Pixels to purchase her photography as wall art and home decor products. She has has a store on Etsy where she sells photographic prints. Also visit her on Instagram and Facebook!
