My newest painting is titled “Electric Gecko“, and it was completed on June 12, 2019.  It was created with various brands of acrylic paints on an 11″ x 14” wood panel, and can be found in my Psychedelic Artwork gallery in my portfolio.  It features a psychedelic stylized gecko lizard with bright rainbow colored paisley patterns all over, on an abstract tie-dye background.  It was a fun and experimental piece.  For the background, I was trying a new technique, and I really like how this turned out.  I will be using this technique in future paintings.

You can see the details in this painting in the above image.  The real painting is much more vibrant and colorful than can be seen in this scanned version. This painting was inspired by one of my earlier designs, the “Oaxacan Lizard” that was done a a label design a few years ago.  The paisley designs are my own creation, inspired by my own previous works.  I really like the retro groovy vibe that this painting gives, and I am happy to once again be doing psychedelic artwork.  The last psychedelic painting I have completed was the peacock, and that was in 2017.
